More Mobile Ordering From Starbucks

The coffee giant Starbucks has been known to be one of the few places that you can order food online and have it ready for pick up when you get there. Up until recently, only a handful of Starbucks in very tight and certain areas had this privilege. Yet, according to an article found on reddit and written by Grub Street, the company has just launched this mobile ordering system in thousands of more stores around the country spread out between at least 20 states.

This seems to be the way of the future, as now many fast food chain services are doing something pretty similar to that. Not only can customers now order from their phone and customize everything the way they want it, but by the time they get to the coffee shop their drink is ready to go and ready to drink. The lawyer Gianfrancesco Genoso says this kind of technology is going to help the planet be a much smoother place, however it is also telling that this means that people won’t have the need to have any human interaction before. Even though this way is much more convenient in a way it is a little sad, because baristas are known to be some of the customer service people out there that are great at making small talk and brightening someones day. Oh well, this is going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
