Anthony Bourdain Hates Pumpkin Spice

Coffee, almonds, cookie dough, and much more. Pumpkin Spice is a craze that has spread to almost every food item imaginable. From college students desperately trying to stay awake through their seven am intro psychology class, to senior citizens enjoying a warm cup of comfort on a cold day, this simple flavor has people of all ages in its corner. There are those however, who are not so fond of Starbuck’s prize winning creation. Anthony Bourdain, celebrity chef, adventurer, and TV personality is not a fan. Mr. Bourdain is a man who has eaten exotic and strange foods from all corners of the globe. He famously consumed Balut (fetal duck eggs) on the Piers Morgan show, and went so far as to say “it’s not that bad if you can get past the feathers”. For a man so adventurous in his tastes, you might be surprised to learn that it is the venerated pumpkin spice trend that he finds abominable. In an interview through reddit, Mr Bourdain stated that he “…would like to see the pumpkin spice craze drowned in its own blood”. He has eaten some things that would make me gag, detailed in the following list: http://www.thedailymeal.com/travel/most-bizarre-things-anthony-bourdain-has-ever-eaten. But what is it that he has such a violent, humorously dark wish for? The flavor that became a coffee, the coffee, that became a legend. Enjoy your feathery eggs Mr. Bourdain, I will enjoy my pumpkin spice.
